Great Plains Pond Society

Ponds Tours 2012!

List available by request!

The Great Plains Pond Society was formed in 1998 for pond keeping enthusiasts on all levels to learn and share information on water gardening and fish keeping.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. during pond season (February to September) at the Douglas-Sarpy County Extension office, 8015 W Center Road, Omaha, NE.  We also meet at members' ponds, go on outings, and visit local nurseries, suppliers or places of interest at all different times.

Our goal is to promote pond keeping and water gardening of all types, from half-barrel water gardens to large ponds, and to provide a source for information on how to create and maintain a pond. We welcome everyone--even those who are merely thinking about plunging into water gardening!

Please join us at a meeting as our guest or sign our Guestbook page for more information or just to tell us what you think!!

If you wish to join, membership dues are $10/individual or $15/couple per year.
